August 10, 2003; Seymour, WI - For the second week in a row, a heavy late afternoon thunderstorm parked itself over the Seymour Tri Oval Raceway, and forced a fifth rain out this season. Up next, will be the 20th anniversary night next Sunday, August 17. The day will start off with the N.E.W. DIRT Car Show at the track from 1 PM til 5 PM. Show is open to anything on four wheels and there are several Vintage cars, Race Cars, New Cars and Street Rods set for the day. The show is FREE for spectators. Come out for the car show, stay for the races. There will be a DJ during the afternoon, and the concessions will be open as well. The rain out also narrows down the chances for track points for the five divisions. The IMCA Mods and Stock Cars have 2 point nights left for the season, and the Street Stocks and WISSOTA Late Models will take their championship battles to the final night on August 31. All remaining race programs will feature the full 5 division show with the gates opening at 4:30pm and racing at 6pm. |
