The Maplewood Shell /Ponderosa WISSOTA
Late Models put 21 cars on the grid with plenty of action in just under 6 minutes to click
off 20 non-stop laps. Race leader #81 Troy Springborn, Shawano, was caught by #58 A.J.
Diemel, Navarino, on the fifth lap. Diemel went on to his fourth feature win of the
season.
Late Model #72 Justin Richie, in a new
ride, did an excellent job edging out #58 A.J. Diemel in the heat race. Ritchie later
finished third despite efforts of other front-runners hot on his tail in the main event.
BUDWEISER IMCA MOD #42 Jamie Schmidt
picked up his first career Seymour division feature win Sunday night.
IMCA Mod #54 Benji LaCrosse,
Luxemburg, put an inside move on #4t Tim Van De Hei,
Green Bay, in the main event. LaCrosse was able to get to a third place finish.
Budweiser IMCA Modified #42 Jamie Schmidt put on a clinic in the feature
event, but fell victim to a faster Jared Siefert and #34 Chad Wilcox in their heat race.
The IMCA Stock Cars had a fierce race-long battle. #50 Kyle Fredrick, #36 Larry Karcz,
Jr., #68 Jamie Colwell and #10s Rod Snellenberger each vying for first
place as the time limit was close. Snellenberger picked up his second straight and third
feature win of the season.

IMCA STOCK CAR #60 Kyle Wanner has been racing for 3 years and picked up his first career
checker winning the division consy sunday night.
#25 Mike Pierrard walked off with his first Seymour feature win of the season sunday
night.

Street Stock #50 Ron Otto and #25 Mike Pierrard, both of Green Bay, each wanted the same
piece of real estate at the front of the Street Stock feature event on Sunday night. At
the checkered, it was Pierrard over Otto for the top-two spots.
#118 Tim Jorgenson won his first
Seymour Speedway feature sunday night and capped off a three win weekend having also won
Friday night in Luxemburg and Saturday night in Manitowoc.
#118 Tim Jorgenson held off #75 Matt
Oreskovich and #8m Matt Maleport midrace in Sundays 20-lap 4 Cylinder featureevent.
Jorgenson held on for the win, as he
capped a strong three-win weekend. He picked up feature wins Friday at Luxemburg and
Saturday in Manitowoc.

The Street Stocks took the green for their feature first with Dan McAllister
taking charge followed by Paul White, Ron Otto, Frank Paul, Mitch Landvick and Allen
Schluetter. The field stayed bunched for the first half of the race with Mike Pierrard
moving from mid pack, taking over the lead on lap 10.
A caution for debris shuffled the pack with Otto moving into the runner up spot after
the restart, Thom Terrien moved into the top 4 and Tony Peebles and David Hoerning moved
up in line. Pierrard open a lead over the final few laps to record his first feature win
of the season here. Otto completed a strong run taking second over McAllister. Paul was
5th with Peebles rounding out the top six.
The point leaders were stuck deep in the field throughout the race which bunched the
standings a bit with 2 point nights left this season.
The IMCA Stock Cars were next with a fierce race long battle for the top spot. Steve
Kastning grabbed the early lead and was hooked up on the high grove. David Bouche, Don
Dix, Kyle Fredrick , Larry Karcz, Jr and Chris Lange were tight behind. Karcz and Fredrick
were into 2nd and 3rd by lap 4 and started a three wide race for the top spot. Point
leader, Jamie Colwell, moved into the battle with Jason Czarapata keeping pace in 5th.
Karcz took the lead on lap 6 with Rod Snellenberger moving into the mix one lap later.
A caution on lap 9 tightened up the already bunched field. Fredrick was scored as the
leader on lap 11 with Snellenberger, Karcz, and Colwell making a four wide entry into turn
one. Karcz looped his car and Fredrick had a flat tire and had to pit under the ensuing
caution. Karcz restarted from the rear. The time limit was close on the restart and after
three more laps, another caution ended the race early with Snellenberger the leader,
picking up his second straight and third feature win of the season. Colwell edged Greg
Gretz for second. Czarapata was fourth, Jerry Schaalma fifth and Kastning was sixth.
The Modifieds took the track and after a four car crash on the opening lap, settled into
another three and 4 wide run during the first half of the race. Jamie Schmidt took off the
from the outside pole with Benji LaCrosse, Russ Huxford, Jared Siefert, Tim Van De Hei,
Joel Schmit and Lance Arneson right behind. Schmidt took off and opened a couple length
lead but LaCrosse, Siefert, Van De Hei and Huxford ran three and four wide over the next
couple laps before a debris caution slowed the race on lap 10.
Schmidt took off in the lead again, with Siefert able to sneak by LaCrosse on the restart.
Van De Hei, Huxford Arneson and Paul Parker were bunched during the last half of the race.
Siefert was not able to close up on the leader over the final few laps with Schmidt able
to run to his first ever Seymour Modified feature win. Siefert maintains his point lead by
finishing second. LaCrosse was third. Van De Hei and Arneson were involved in a last lap
incident entering turn three which moved Parker into 4th followed by Huxford and Chad
Wilcox.
The WISSOTA Late Models put 21 cars on the grid with plenty of action in just under 6
minutes to click off 20 non-stop laps. Troy Springborn grabbed the lead at the start with
A.J. Diemel second, Justin Richie, Doug Blashe, Doug Klemp and Gordie Seegert in line.
Diemel worked the outside line and moved into the lead on lap 5 and the pair slowly pulled
away from the rest of the field, bunched in a tight battle for third on back.
Richie, in a new ride, did an excellent job in third throughout the race with Blashe,
Seegert and Klemp pressuring through the first half of the race. Tim Lemirande, Tom
Naeyaert and Nick Anvelink moved into the mix over the final laps.
Diemel took his fourth feature win of the season with Springborn in second. Richie was
able to hold on for third with Anvelink nipping Lemirande at the line for 4th. Seegert
rounded out the top six.
Tim Jorgenson took control of the 4 Cylinder main with Matt Maleport, Tony Everard, Brad
Willoquette, Justin Arneson and point leader, Matt Oreskovich behind. A pair of cautions
slowed the race by lap 5, but then the green was out to the finish.
Jorgenson led the way with Oreskovich making his way into the runner up spot on lap 6.
He slowly chipped into Jorgensons lead and with a couple laps left was right behind
the leader. He chased him to his first feature win of the season here. Everard edged
Maleport for third with Greg Banker and Jeff Kropp rounding out the top six.
The win for Jorgenson capped a strong 3 win weekend. He picked up feature wins Friday at
Luxemburg and Saturday in Manitowoc.
Next week, Swinkles Busing and Trucking presents the first ever Bus Race to be held at the
Seymour Speedway following the full regular racing program.
