#75 Matt Oershovich, Clintonville and #17 Greg Banker, Bonduel, fought right down to the wire in the 4 cylinder feature event Sunday night.

The Street Stocks took the track first and took a couple attempts to get a lap recorded. Once underway, Eric Arneson set the pace through 3 laps before Mike Pierrard took over, Harley Simon, and point leader, Jeremy Wiitala moved up to the front as well. The trio hooked up in a tight battle for the lead, running three wide several time with Pierrard and Simon swapping the lead several times. A final caution on lap 12 set up a time limit, green white checker run. Simon was the leader and the pressure continued over the final lap. Simon was able to secure the win, his first this season with Wiitala taking the second spot. A wild finish came out of the group behind the leaders. Out of the final turn, there was contact in the tight bunch. The car of Mike Woodke was running high and got into and on top of the front straight wall, riding the fence twords turn one. Pierrard crossed in third in the scramble and ensueing caution with Brian Kock, Jamie Van Ooyen and Frank Paul rounding out the top six. Woodke was not injured in his ride.

The IMCA Stock Cars were next with Steve Kastning taking charge for the first 3 laps before Jason Czarapata took over. Czarapata pulled away a bit over the next couple laps before Darren Otto took over second on lap 7 bringing Larry Karcz, Jr and Jamie Colwell to the front as well. Several cautions during this one caused a time limit finish after the final caution on lap 9,

Czarapata held on to win his second straight division feature. Otto took second with Colwell taking third. Karcz drifted off the pace over the final lap with Rod Snellenberger sneaking into the 4th spot at the finish. Jesse Colwell took 5th and Kastning complete his best run ever here in 6th.

The WISSOTA Late Models put a field of 24 cars on the track with Gordie Seegert on the pole. Seegert quickly took charge and opened a sizable lead. With out a caution in the race, it appeared like an easy run for the Oostburg veteran. ON lap 10, Ron Berna took the runner up spot from Mark Mitchell, and set out after the leader. Berna slowly cut the lead and with a couple laps left, was able to pull alongside of Seegert entering turn three. The pair took the white but Seegert was bale to fend off the challenge and record his first career feature win at Seymour. Berna was a close second. The leaders left the rest of the field bunched in third, with Tom Naeyaert taking a strong run to a third place finish. Nick Anvelink, A.J. Diemel and Mitchell round out the top six.

The win gave Seegert a back to back weekend, having won Saturday night in Shawano. This Friday, Seegert could collect the Tri Track Triple $1000 bonus if he can pick up the feature win at Antigo.

A special Tri Track Persuit race was run earlier in the night and A.J. Diemel led flag to flag for the bonus checker.

Chad Wilcox set the pace early and pulled to a sizable lead in the Budweiser IMCA Modified main. Tim Van De Hei, Scott Mullen, Travis Spaulding, Jeremie Hedrick and Dan Deau were running together for second. By half way, Wilcox was still setting the pace with Mullen giving chase in second followed by Spaulding, Van De Hei, Hedrick and Deau.

Mullen was able to overtake Wilcox for the top spot on lap 12 and started to open his own lead before the lone caution of the race appeared on lap 15, setting up a 5 lap dash. Wilcox, Spaulding, Hedrick, Deau and Van De Hei were lined up right behind the leader for the final green. Mullen took the checker with Deau able to secure the runner up spot on the final lap. Spaulding took third with Hedrick fourth and Wilcox fifth. Chris Engles came through to take the sixth spot on the final lap from Van de Hei.

The finish was changed after the cars left the claim area and Mullen failed to scale his car, causing a disqualification, and giving the win to Deau, which was his first ever at Seymour and put Van De Hei back into sixth.

After rolling his car onto the side in his heat race, Kevin Birr led the first 6 laps of the 4 Cylinder main with point leader Matt Oershovich taking over on lap 7. Oershovich survived a late race caution and pressure from Greg Banker over the last half of the race to keep his feature streak intact having won all three so far this season. Matt Maleport finished third with Tim Jorgenson, Nick Everard and Mark Krause rounding out the top 6.

The nice crowd enjoyed the evening and Fireworks to close the night.

There will be NO racing at the Seymour Speedway next Sunday, July 10, because of the County Fair. Racing well return on Sunday July 17 fort the last half of the season.
