In the IMCA Stock Car feature, #17 Jeff Vlies took over the top spot on lap six while point leader, #10 Rod Snellenberger moved into the lead on lap seven. Vlies

#27 Darren Otto worked into the lead of the Street Stock main, survived several
cautions including the challenges of “Harder Charger” #17 Harley Simon who had moved into the runner-up spot. Otto chose the high groove and Simon the low
groove. The pair ran side by side for much of the rest of the race, with Otto able to wrestle the win away from Simon at the finish line for his first feature win here since September, 2004.

Mark Gerrits led the way in the 4 Cylinder main through a caution filled 8 laps.
With the green out for the final time on lap eight, #75 Matt Oreskovich took over the lead and was able to run to his second straight feature win, his fifth of the season.

The IMCA Stock Cars opened the feature portion of the program with Mike Weitor setting the pace for the opening lap. Jeff Vlies took over the top spot through lap 6 while point leader, Rod Snellenberger, Shawn Wagner and Darren Otto moved to the front. Snellenberger moved into the lead on lap 7. Vlies kept the pressure on the leader, leading again on lap 12, but Snellenberger battled back and held off the field to claim his third feature win of the season. Wagner was able to wrestle the runner up spot from Vlies with 3 laps left and chased the leader to the finish. Kyle Fredrick took third place with Chaz Van Ooyen, Jr in fourth. Vlies and Jon Wolf rounded out the top six.

The win puts Snellenberger 8 points ahead of Jesse Colwell entering next weeks final point night for the division. Kyle Fredrick and Larry Karcz, Jr round out the top four which are separated by 12 points.

Darren Otto worked into the lead of the Street Stock main on the opening lap and survived several cautions during the first half of the race which kept the field bunched on the rear bumper. After the final restart on lap 10, Todd Everard pressured the leader for a couple laps before Harley Simon moved into the runner up spot, bringing point leader Jeremy Wiitala along into third.

Otto was running the high groove and Simon was running low. The pair ran side by side for much of the rest of the race, with Wiitala sticking his nose in the battle as well. The trio pulled away a bit from the tight pack with Otto able to wrestle the win away from a hard charging Simon at the finish line for his first feature win here since Sept 6, 2004. Simon and Wiitala were next in line followed by Chaz Van Ooyen, Jr, Dan McAllister and David Hoerning. The runner up finish by Simon moves him into a tie with Wiitala for the track title which will be decided next Sunday night. Wiitala is the defending champion while Simon is looking for his first home track title. Hoerning is third in the standings 18 marks behind the leaders.

The WISSOTA Late Models took the green with Troy Springborn sprinting into the lead followed by Randy Markwardt, Kevin Eggert, Pete Parker, Todd Jensema and Nick Anvelink. By the time Parker moved into the runner up spot on lap 6, Springborn had opened up quite a lead and was riding the high groove to perfection. Parker was running inside and slowly started to close the gap. A.J. Diemel moved into third on lap 8 and also set out after the leaders. Parker was inching closer to the leader while Diemel was pulling up to Parker, also running the high groove. A lapped car with 3 laps to go forced Parker to go outside to get around. When the pair drifted wide out of turn 2, Diemel shot inside and took second. Springborn took the checker a couple lengths ahead of Diemel and Parker for his first feature win of the season. Anvelink crossed the line in fourth followed by Markwardt and by point leader, Tim Buhler.

The late models have 2 point nights remaining, running to the final night on Sept 3rd.

Art Siefert led the opening lap of the Budweiser IMCA Modified feature. After a quick caution, Dave Zeitler moved into the top spot on the restart with Chad Wilcox and Brian Drexler moving up. The leaders were running the high groove with Jared Siefert moving to the front using the inside line. Point leader, Benji LaCrosse, was moving to the front testing out every possible line on the track. Brian Mullen, having to come through the consy to make the main, was also testing lines while weaving his way to the front.

By lap 12, Siefert was challenging for the top spot and moved into the lead. Three laps later, LaCrosse moved into the runner up spot with Mullen right behind. A caution on lap 15 bunched the field for a sprint to the finish. Siefert continued to hug the inside and LaCrosse and Mullen hooked up outside. Siefert was strong on the inside and LaCrosse and Mullen were looking for the right spot to make their moved over the final lap. Out of the final turn, LaCrosse flew around the leader at the finish line to grab his 5th feature win of the season. Siefert was second with Mullen knocking down third. Wilcox continues his late season surge to finish fourth. David Werbelow was fifth and Drexler sixth.

The win puts LaCrosse 35 points ahead of defending champ, Siefert, entering next weeks final point night and a start next week will insure a first time Seymour Title for LaCrosse.

Mark Gerrits led the way in the 4 Cylinder main through a caution filled 8 laps. With the green out for the final time on lap 8, Matt Oreskovich took over the lead and despite pressure from point leader, Tim Jorgenson, was able to run to his second straight feature win, also his 5th of the season. Kevin Birr, J.J. Anderson, Ian Lassanske and Brian Johnson rounded out the top six.

Jorgenson holds a 17 point lead in the standings over Phil Martzahl entering next weeks point finale.

John Surprise from the Bear Creek Fire Dept was the winner in the Public Safety night special race.

Next Sunday, the point seasons will end for the IMCA Mod and Stock Car divisions along with the Street Stock and 4 Cylinders. The WISSOTA Late Models will run point for the final 2 weeks of the season. There will also be Powder Puff Races to close the program next week. The kids Coin Toss will also be held. There will be a corn roast in the pit area following the races next week.
