SOUND CHECK 4 CYLINDER #22 Ralph Liegeois of Oconto won his first ever feature at the Seymour Speedway Sunday night.

The Street Stock division was first up for feature action with Bob Czarapata taking charge for the opening lap with Joe Johnson leading the way until lap 5. David Hoerning moved into the top spot one lap later and was able to open a lead as the rest of the field battled hard behind. Point leader, Harley Simon, former champ Jeremy Wiitala and Rod Solem put on a show for the last half of the race running together battling to catch the leader. They ran three wide several times and got a shot at the leader when a final caution appeared on lap 13. For the final 7 laps, Hoerning kept the battle behind and was able to win his first feature of the season. Simon made a final lap charge pay off to take the runner up finish with Wiitala and Solem right behind. Mert Summers and T.J. White rounded out the top six.

The Tri County Heating IMCA Stock Cars were up next with John Mahlberg leading for the opening 2 circuits. Darren Otto inherited the top spot after a lap 2 caution wren Mahlberg made a trip on pit lane. There were several more cautions in the first 9 laps with Otto able to hold the lead while a battle brewed behind. Greg Gretz, Larry Karcz, Jr, Kyle Frederick, point leader, Rod Snellenberger and Kyle Wanner were right behind for the final restart and over the final half of the race were involved in a thrilling battle right behind the leader. Otto held the inside line and the battle behind used every inch of race track running 4 wide several times. Otto was able to hold off the pressure to win his first feature of the season. Gretz was right on the rear bumper at the finish line. Karcz edged Snellenberger for third place. Snellenberger was dropped from 4th to 6th for jumping the restart on lap 9 which put Frederick into 4th and Wanner 6th.

The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds took the green and clicked off a non-stop feature. Shawn Frelick led the opening lap with Mike Mullen taking charge on lap 2. Jason Czarapata moved into the second spot on lap 3 and tucked right behind the leader and the pair was able to open a slight lead in front of another good battle as the point cars worked from the middle of the field. Jerry Wilinski, Chad Wilcox, M.J. Hintz, David Werbelow, Benji LaCrosse and Brian Mullen ran under a blanket most of the race while working toward the front.

Mullen was running tight to the inside and as he entered turn three on lap 12, slipped out just enough to allow Czarapata a chance to move alongside. Czarapata took the lead out of turn four and was able to pull away from the battle moving forward.

Over the last 8 laps, the pack moved up, and made Mullen part of the battle. Wilinski was hooked on the outside and over the final 2 laps was able to take the runner up spot and held off LaCrosse to take his best finish of the year. Mullen held off Werbelow for 4th with point leader Jared Siefert edging Sean Jerovetz to take 6th.

Czarapata collected his first career division feature win which made him only the third driver in N.E.W. DIRT Club history to win a feature in three different divisions.

Gregg Haney led the opening round of the Late Model main with Craig Schueffner moving into the top spot on lap 2 and opened a lead as the field sorted out behind. Justin Hirt was second until Nick Anvelink powered by on lap 7. Anvelink reeled in the leader and took the lead as the pair crossed under the half way mark of the event. Anvelink continued his march and recorded his first feature win of the season here. Terry Anvelink was able to wrestle the runner up spot from Schueffner with 5 laps left but could not catch his son. Hirt took third on the final lap with Schueffner taking 4th. Troy Springborn and Pete Parker rounded out the top 6 after the non-stop race.

Jesse Heise took charge of the Sound Check 4 Cylinder main and walked off to a huge lead before the first caution appeared o lap 12. and bunched the field. Heise again took off on the restart and survived a couple more cautions to take the checkered for his first ever win here. Ralph Liegeois, Jamie Miller, Kevin Birr, Calvin Stueck and point leader Ian Lassanske rounded out the top six.

Following the race, Heise was subject to a claim, which he refused. This gave the win to Liegeois, which was his first ever at the Seymour Speedway. Everyone moved up which put Andy Kleczka into the top six.
