Nick Anvelink Collects Another Late Model Checkered!

Seymour, WI - It turned out to be a busy
night Sunday at the Seymour Speedway with Public Safety activities
starting at 3 PM and a full night of racing with 143 in action.
Fred Davister picked off the lead for the opening lap of the Tri
County Heating IMCA Stock Car feature with Barry Van Straten leading
the pack for lap 2 before Chaz Van Ooyen, Jr moved to the top spot
on the next circuit.

LATE MODEL #15 New dad, Nick Anvelink, his first night racing
since his twins were born on tuesday, won a spirited battle with
Pete Parker to record his second straight and third feature win
of the season Sunday night.
Late Model #10
Pete Parker and #15 Nick Anvelink swapped the race lead several
times with some very close racing. Anvelink was able to make a
final pass for the lead before the white appeared and held off
Parker to win his second straight feature.

BUDWEISER IMCA
MODIFIED #4 Tim Van De Hei won his first ever mod feature at
Seymour Sunday His last win was in a Stock Car on May 19, 2002.
It was also his daughters 7th birthday Sunday.

VanDeHei took over the top spot on lap four after getting past
#4k Kyle Kudick and #34 Chad Wilcox. VanDeHei walked off with
his first career division feature here with Paul Parker taking
second.
TRI COUNTY HEATING IMCA STOCK CAR #36 Larry Karcz Jr held off
point leader Rod Snellenberger and Chaz Van Ooyen, Jr to win his
second feature of the season Sunday night.
Tri County
Heating IMCA Stock Car #36 Larry Karcz, Jr. held on to the
feature race lead in front of points leader #10 Rod
Snellenberger as the two pulled even on their final lap. Karcz
held on to win his second feature of the season with
Snellenberger edging Chaz Van Ooyen for
the runner up spot.
Street Stock #19
David Hoerning and #78 Jason Bork battled briefly for the top
spot in the early going of the Street Stock feature. Hoerning
was never challenged for the rest of the way picking up his
second feature win of the year.

MCA Hobby Stock #4 Mike Mueller and #10 Brandon Peterson got
together on
the backstretch in their feature, eventually giving the corner
worker a workout. Mueller escaped injury while Dave DeGrave took
home checkers in both the heat race and feature.
Sound Check
4-Cylinder #94 J.J. Anderson set the pace in the early going
with #121 Andy Kleczka taking over on lap 12 and
walked off with his 4th feature win of the season. 14x Jeff Behm,
making his first visit this season came from the middle of the
field to take second.

In the Cops vs.
Fireman race, one Brown County Sheriff's Deputy ended up on his
nose after a rough ride on the wall.

Nathan Persha, Larry Karcz, Jr, Kurt Olson and Ben Kroll
settled in behind. The top three put on a show for the lead with
Karcz settling into the top line and ran side by side with the other
2 for most of the race. Point leader Rod Snellenberger, Jamie
Colwell, Kyle Frederick and Brian Bruechert were battling together
working from the middle of the pack.
The last of 3 cautions in the race appeared on lap 12 and the action
heated up even more at the front, Van Ooyen was still in command
with Karcz, Persha, Bruechert, Snellenberger and Colwell now in the
front pack. Karcz slipped into the top spot on lap 14 and was
hounded by Van Ooyen with Snellenberger getting into the battle with
three laps left. Snellenberger pulled even with the leader as the
white appeared by Karcz held on to win his second feature of the
season with Snellenberger edging Van Ooyen for the runner up spot.
Persha, Colwell and Bruechert round out the top six.
Mitch Landvick paced the opening 2 laps of the Street Stock main
before dropping out during a caution on lap 2. David Hoerning
inherited the top spot and under green, used a long green session to
open a big lead, leaving the field to battle for second. Harley
Simon moved into the runner up spot on lap 7 with Rod Solem, Jeremy
Wiitala, Matt Drawenek and Todd Everard behind. Hoerning was never
challenged for the rest of the way picking up his second feature win
of the year. Simon ran alone for awhile before Everard chased him
down and moved by on the final lap to take second. Wiitala finished
4th with Mert Summers concluding a strong night in 5th and Rod Solem
taking 6th.
Wiitala holds the point lead by only 7 marks over Rod Solem with
Simon in 3rd only 1 point behind Solem.
Pete Parker grabbed the lead at the start of the Late Model main and
pulled away from the pack until a caution on lap 8 bunched the field
with new dad, Nick Anvelink, grandpa Terry Anvelink, Gregg Haney and
David Fieber behind. Parker and Nick Anvelink pulled away from the
field in a spirited battle which saw the lead get swapped a couple
times with some very close racing. Anvelink was able to make a final
pass for the lead before the white appeared and held off Parker to
win his second straight feature. Terry finished third with Haney
taking 4th, Fieber 5th and Jeff Curtain sixth.
Mike Mullen set the pace for the opening 3 laps of the Budweiser
IMCA Modifieds with Tim Van De Hei taking over the top spot on lap
4. Paul Parker moved into the runner up spot a lap later before the
lone caution flew on lap 6. Van De Hei was followed by Parker, Kyle
Kudick, Chad Wilcox. David Werbelow and Jason Czarapata. Van de Hei
was able to pull away from the field with Parker running alone in
second. Benji LaCrosse was leading the charge from the middle of the
field challenging for 4th before pulling out of the race on lap 15.
Van De Hei walked off with his first career division feature here
with Parker taking second. Kudick and Czarapata made the top 4 with
Wilcox and Werbelow rounding out the top six.
J.J. Anderson set the pace for 5 of the first 6 laps of the Sound
Check 4 Cylinder main before several cautions interrupted the run on
lap 7. Jason Cornelius took charge and was the leader for 4 laps
before Andy Kleczka took over on lap 12 and walked off with his 4th
feature win of the season. Jeff Behm, making his first visit this
season came from the middle of the field to take second followed by
Chad Guyette, Cornelius, point leader Ian Lassanske and Mark Gerrits.
The area IMCA Hobby Stocks made a quest appearance with Dave DeGrave
taking checkers in both the heat race and feature. Frank Paul,
Brandon Peterson, Jarred Van Laanen, Tyler Wilson and Aaron Zellner
made the top six.
The special Cops VS Fireman race was won by Town of Oneida fireman,
Tim Jorgenson.
Three weeks remain in the 2007 season with point chases coming down
to 2 weeks left for the IMCA Mod and Stock Car divisions and Late
Models. The Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders will run points through
the final night as part of the Big Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Car
Show on September 2nd.
