LaCrosse was still running the high line and as they were coming in for the white flag, drifted a bit too wideand tagged the outside wall in turn four and limped down the front chute and off the track to end the strong run finishing 18th. Czarapata continues a strong rookie season by taking second for the second night in a row. persistent #54 Benji LaCrosse.51201b.jpg (17266 bytes)

Sound Check 4 Cylinder feature winner, Andy Kleczka (left) teamed with Jamie Miller (right) to win the Bump and Run race Sunday night.51201b.jpg (17266 bytes)
Sound Check 4 Cylinders #121k Andy Kleczka swapped the lead several times with #38 Jake Wilcox. Kleczka was able to pull ahead a bit on the restart and held on for his second straight feature win with Wilcox taking second.

The Tri County Heating IMCA Stock Cars took to the track first with Rick Mahlberg grabbing the top spot followed by Dan Michonski, David Bouche, Mike Franzke, and Brian Koch. Rod Snellenberger started mid pack and took the outside line to quickly move to the front of the pack. He joined Mahlberg and Michonski in a tight battle for the lead. They ran 3 wide several times with Michonski taking the lead after slipping out of the middle of the group on lap 8. Snellenberger followed through into the runner up spot and by the mid point of the race was the leader. A lone caution slowed the race on lap 12, and a flat tire forced Michonski to give up his strong run turning the second spot over to Kyle Fredrick. Snellenberger was able to open up a slight lead after the restart, with Fredrick, Shawn Wagner and Mahlberg right behind. Larry Karcz, Jr, Chaz Van Ooyen and Bouche led the rest of the pack. Snellenberger was able to hold off the charges and captured his third feature of the season. Fredrick took second with Wagner third. Mahlberg, Van Ooyen and Bouche rounded out the top six,

The Street Stocks started with a caution on the opening lap which set the stage for a caution filled event. Mike Nehmer took the lead and set the pace with Mitch Landvick, Steve Hiles, Tim Czarneski, and David Hoerning behind. The cautions kept the field bunched and the racing tight. Darren Otto led the charge from the middle of the field with defending champion, Harley Simon, point leader, Rod Solem and Jerry Winkler moving forward as well. Otto moved into the runner up spot on lap 10 and could not get Nehmer to open up in the inside line. Simon moved into third 1 lap later and a great race for the lead lasted until the final caution on lap 18 set up a 2 lap dash to the finish. Simon was able to get a great start and pulled even with the leader with the white flag out. The pair ran a drag race for the final lap with Simon getting a bite on the high side out of the final turn to squeak out a bumper win at the finish line. It was his first feature win of the season with Nehmer taking the close second with Otto holding off Solem for third. Winkler and Todd Everard rounded out the top six.

Pete Parker started on the knob for the late model main and quickly beat Craig Bartz to the lead. Parker was out for a Sunday drive from there to win his second straight feature. A.J. Diemel made his first appearance of the season and settled into the runner up spot on lap 3, but could not find a way to close on the leader. Nick Anvelink found his way into third on lap 7, but the field strung out and left Parker alone at the front for his 116 career feature win here. Diemel, Anvelink, Tom Naeyaert, Troy Springborn and Bartz round out the top six.

The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds also settled into a smooth rhythm once Sean Jerovetz took the lead and ran their event flag to flag. Jason Czarapata settled into the runner up spot on lap 3 and the pair pulled away from the bunched field behind. Russ Huxford, Danny Deau, Mike Mullen, Chad Wilcox and Jared Siefert were working to the front while point leaders, Brian Mullen and Benji LaCrosse were tied up in the back of the field. Just after the mid point, LaCrosse decided to try the outside line and found it to his liking, quickly passing cars three wide to move into the lead pack. It took a few laps but Lacrosse moved into 4th place , but the three lead cars were spread out. Siefert was trying to reel in Czarapata and LaCrosse was moving up on Siefert. LaCrosse was almost alongside Siefert with a couple laps to go and they were pulling up on Czarapata. LaCrosse was still running the high line and as they were coming in for the white flag, he drifted a bit to wide and tagged the outside wall in turn four and limped down the front chute and off the track to end the strong run finishing 18th. Jerovetz completed his strong run still pulling away for his first feature win here in almost exactly 3 years, winning last time on June 3, 2004. Czarapata continues a strong rookie season by taking second for the second night in a row, with Siefert right behind in third. Wilcox took fourth with Deau and Mike Wedelstadt rounding out the top six.

The Sound Check 4 Cylinders took the track with Nick Everard leading the opening lap before Andy Kleczka swept into the lead with Jake Wilcox, Jody Cornelius, Ian Lassanske and Kevin Birr following to the front. The lead pack pulled ahead staying together until a red flag appeared on lap 15 for a roll over in turn three and four. Brad Willoquette got caught up with a couple other cars and rolled a couple times ending up on its side. The car was pushed straight up and he climbed out on top to an ovation from the crowd. Kleczka was able to pull ahead a bit on the restart and held on for his second straight feature win with Wilcox taking second. Lassanske took third followed by Birr, Cornelius and Jamie Miller.

Kleczka teamed with Miller to win the Bump and Run race to close the night.

There will be Mechanics races held next Sunday night.
