IMCA Stock Cars taking the track for the first feature event of the
night.

Late Model #10 Pete Parker was shadowed briefly by #27 Justin
Hirt on Sunday night but it was Parker's night to shine as he
recorded his third feature win in the last
4 weeks.
Budweiser IMCA
Modified feature winner. Point leader, Jared Siefert walked off
with his frist feature win of the season at the Seymour Speedway
Sunday night. He capped off a three win weekend winnning Friday
and Saturday as well.
#X Mike
Wedelstadt and point leader, #66 Jared Siefert, used every inch
of track and swapped second over the next 7 laps, before Siefert
was able to secure the spot and set out after the leader. Sunday
eventual win capped a three-win weekend for the Green Bay
driver.
Tri County Heating IMCA Stock Car feature winner, Shawn Wagner
won his first feature of the season Sunday night at the Seymour
Speedway.
Tri-County Heating IMCA Stock Car #1st Bob Schampers led the
opening two laps before #55 Shawn Wager took charge.
Wagner grabbed the top spot and collected his first feature win
of the year.
Street Stock #51
Jeremy Wiitala was the man to beat in the A-main, taking charge
from the second go-round. Coming around
for the checkered, #17 Harley Simon was able to pull just ahead
and come home for his third straight feature win.
Sound Check
4-Cylinder main race leader #49m Jamie Miller got passed by a
strong #33g Chad Guyette. Miller and Guyette hooked up in a
great side by side battle for
the lead, with Guyette able to grab the lead on the restart and
claimed his first ever division feature win at Seymour.
Jessi Ness won
her first race in the Sound Check 4 Cylinder division Sunday
night at the Seymour Speedway.
Holly Welch was
the second woman to win a race Sunday night taking the checker
in the Sound Check 4 Cylinder consy. |
Bob Schampers led the opening 2 laps before Shawn Wager
took charge. Wagner held the top spot through several cautions over
the first half of the race. Te green appeared for the final time on
lap 11 with Wagner followed by Doug Kropp, Troy Jerovetz, Darren
Otto, Greg Gretz and Kyle Fredrick. Wagner was able to open a lead
over the final laps and collected his first feature win of the year.
Jerovetz collected second place with Kropp, Gretz, Fredrick and Rod
Snellenberger rounding out the top six.
Dan Rihm led the opening circuit of the Street Stock main with
Jeremy Wiitala taking the high side from the middle of the field
into the lead by lap 2. Once in front, Wiitala opened a lead until a
series of three cautions in the middle of the race bunched the pack.
David Hoerning, Todd Everard, Bill Kelsey, Harley Simon and Matt
Drawenek. After the final caution on lap 11, the green was out for
the final time with Wiitala hooking up on the outside line and again
pulling ahead while the battle for the spots behind was very tight.
Simon finally settled into the runner up spot on lap 17 and faced a
several length margin to catch the leader. He hooked up inside and
reeled in the leader, pulling alongside in turn three coming in for
the white flag.
The pair flashed under the flag side by side and on the final lap,
Simon was able to pull ahead and come home for his third straight
feature win. Wiitala took the second place finish with Everard
crossing third, Kelsey fourth, point leader, Rod Solem fifth and
Hoerning sixth. Following the race, Everard entered the claim area
incorrectly and was dropped back in the finish to 18th, moving Mert
Summers into sixth place.
Joe Rueter and Doug Klemp each led one of the first 2 laps in the
Late Model main before Pete Parker claimed the top spot and started
to drive away from the field. By the time the lone caution flew on
lap 8, Troy Springborn, Terry Anvelink, Nick Anvelink, Justin Hirt
and Klemp were well behind the leader. On the restart, Parker took a
couple laps to regain his pattern and once again pulled away from
the rest of the field to record his third feature win in the last 4
weeks. Springborn held on for the runner up finish with Terry and
Nick Anvelink followed by Hirt and Klemp for the top six.
Mike Mullen took the lead at the start of the Budweiser IMCA
Modified main and led the way through a couple cautions over the
first 5 laps. Once the race stayed green, Mullen hooked up on the
high side and was able to pull ahead while an exciting battle for
the runner up spot held attention. Mike Wedelstadt and point leader,
Jared Siefert, used every inch of track and swapped second over the
next 7 laps, before Siefert was able to secure the spot and set out
after the leader. It took a couple laps before Siefert used the
inside line to take over the top spot and drive off for his first
feature win here this season. It capped a three win weekend for the
Green Bay driver.
Wedelstadt was able to take the runner up finish with Mullen taking
third. David Werbelow, Benji LaCrosse and Eric Scribner round out
the top six.
Dean Dekeyser took control of the Sound Check 4 Cylinder main with
Jamie Miller taking over the top spot on lap 3 with Chad Guyette and
Jake Wilcox following. Miller and Guyette hooked up in a great side
by side battle for the lead and swapped the lead several times
before a lone caution appeared on lap 13. Guyette was able to grab
the lead on the restart and was able to open a slight lead over the
final laps to claim his first ever division feature win here. Ralph
Liegeois was able to wrestle the runner up spot away from Miller on
the final lap with R.J. Liegeois finishing third, Andy Kleczka
taking fifth and Jason Cornelius ending up in sixth.
Next Sunday night, N.E.W. DIRT will close the night with a 4th of
July Fireworks show.
