Dirt Silver Anniversary Season Underway This Sunday!

Seymour, WI - Seymour-April 28- N.E.W. DIRT
will open their 2008 racing season at the Seymour Speedway this
Sunday, May 4.
The club formed and took over the operation of the
track, located at the Outagamie County Fairgrounds in Seymour, in
1984, making this their 25th Anniversary season.
The weekly programs on the banked 1/3 mile clay oval
will feature these four divisions. The IMCA Modifieds, Street
Stocks, IMCA Stock Cars and 4 Cylinders will be joined by the
Fastrack Late Models and IMCA Sport Mods on a rotation basis.
New to the schedule this year will be a first time
visit by the Badger Racing Motorcycle Club for a full night of
racing on Friday night, August 15.
The IRA Sprints will be returning after their
thrilling non stop feature program last year, on Labor Day weekend,
Sunday August 31. This show will have a rain date set for Monday,
September 1st.
For the first time in several years, there will be a
full racing schedule during the County Fair. On Sunday July 27, the
track will be busy with a Double Figure 8 event at 1 PM. At 6 PM,
the regular weekly program with Fastrack Late Models will be on
track. In all, the 2008 schedule boasts 23 events. 22 racing events,
1 motorcycle show and the annual Car Show and Practice which was
held this past weekend.
The Seymour Speedway is located within a 15 to 20
minute drive from most of the valley and Green Bay areas and boasted
fields of that averaged 132 cars weekly. The programs start at 6 PM
SHARP and are usually complete shortly after 10.
